Washi & Ukiyoe
When I first learned the design movement - Ukiyoe in DGC lesson, i was fascinated with this type of design. So, I have searched lots of information about it.
HA! I finally discovered a useful information that we should know. Actually, the paper used to make the Ukiyoe is not a typical paper, but a paper called "Washi". "Washi" is the traditional Japanese Paper. "Washi" comes from "wa" meaning Japanese and "shi" meaning paper, and the "Washi" is used to describe paper made in the traditional Japanese manner.
