IBM (Gestalt Principle)

The IBM logo is a good example of gestalt principle. The designer used eight solid lines which seperated by some empty space. But we can still see the missing elements (the lines) to complete the characters (IBM).

By using this principle, a successful logo design will be created because our mind will attempt to organize the cluster of logo into an organized/meaningful form, so that we will easily bare the logo in our mind.
